Inspections · Rexburg, Idaho

Know what you're buying — or driving — before it surprises you.

A $45 inspection is the cheapest insurance in the car world. Used car you're about to buy, road trip next week, winter coming — you get an honest written rundown of what's good, what's wearing, and what needs attention.

What you get

A mechanic's eyes on the whole vehicle.

The visual multi-point inspection covers brakes, tires, fluids, belts, hoses, battery, lights, and the stuff people forget — done on the lift by someone who looks at worn vehicles all day. It takes about an hour.

The pre-purchase version is where this really pays. A used car from a private seller or a lot can hide a lot under a fresh wash — an hour on our lift finds what a test drive can't, before your money changes hands.

One distinction worth knowing: an inspection is a checkup for a vehicle with no specific complaint. If something's already acting up — a light, a noise, a leak — you want the $150 full diagnosis, which tests that problem and includes this inspection.

FAQ

Inspection questions, answered straight.

What do you check in the $45 inspection?

Brakes, tires, fluids, belts, hoses, battery, lights, and a visual pass over steering, suspension, and visible leaks — with the vehicle up on the lift. You get a written rundown in plain language: good, wearing, or needs attention.

How does a pre-purchase inspection work?

Arrange with the seller to get the vehicle to us — you can bring it during a test drive or have the seller drop it off. Plan on about an hour. A seller who refuses an independent inspection is telling you something, too.

Will you pressure me to fix what you find?

No. The inspection is information, not a sales pitch. Plenty of findings are “keep an eye on it” rather than “fix it now,” and we're clear about which is which. What you do next is up to you.

Inspection or diagnosis — which do I book?

No symptoms, just want it checked? Book the $45 inspection. Already have a light, noise, leak, or drivability problem? Book the $150 diagnosis — it chases the actual problem and includes the inspection.
